The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers approved teacher education programs that lead to a Bachelor of Science degree and licensure in the state of Tennessee. A program is offered in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education (elementary education K-5), as well as courses required for licensure in fields of secondary education and K-12 teacher education. A Master of Arts in Teaching degree is offered for liberal arts graduates to obtain teaching licenses at either the elementary or secondary level.
