Sociology Minor Program Information


Sociology is the study of people interacting with others individually, in social groups, and in social systems. The discipline is extremely diverse, including areas such as: community, religion, theory, collective behavior, environment, health, demography and aging, and much more. Students who minor in Sociology will have the technical and analytic skills and the global perspective that will complement the skills learned in their major area of study.

A minor consists of 18 credit hours of study in sociology. Students must earn at least a C in each required course in the minor and achieve an overall grade point average of 2.0 in courses counted for the minor.
