AMBA 5180 - Economics for Managers

(3 credits)
Prerequisites: At least three years of professional managerial experience; admission to the accelerated MBA program or permission of instructor. This course presents applications of microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, tools, and principles as they relate to problems and decisions that confront professional managers of business and other organizations. Microeconomics topics include demand and supply analysis, production decisions, market structure, and input employment decisions. Macroeconomic topics include measurement of economic activity and performance, macromodels, economic policy, and international economic dynamics. The course is an intensive, accelerated, case-based approach to economics and is taught using both on-line and on-ground components. Enrollment is by permit only.
