GEOL 5700 - Seminar in Geosciences

This class seeks to teach scientific reasoning and critical thinking by discussing and debating current topics in geology (including, but not restricted to, natural resources, natural history, and natural hazards). Students will be encouraged to “pick sides” and support their position through the synthesis of the selected readings, self-chosen additional readings, and personal/educational experience. One lecture/discussion weekly.
