HSCI 5067 - Neurology(4 credits) Prerequisites: Human or Vertebrate Anatomy and Physiology. A basic study of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, including normal control mechanisms and some abnormalities. Laboratory work consists of a study of preserved human brains and comparison of these brains with other animals. The spinal cord and peripheral parts of the nervous system are studied using slides and models. Selected neural mechanisms are illustrated using test animals. Two hours lecture and two two-hour laboratories per week. (spring)
