PHSI 6400 - Neuroregulation(3 credits) Prerequisites: PHSI 5000 or consent of the instructor. This course examines the mechanisms by which cells communicate and how this communication is integrated to regulate specific functions. Topics presented include aspects of signaling in the nervous and endocrine systems, interactions between these systems, regulation of specific functions by the nervous and endocrine systems, and the research techniques used to study questions in these areas. (alternate years)
