COBH 6160 - Systems Approaches to Public Health Issues(3 credits) Prerequisites: BSTA 5350 and EPID 5405 This course uses a problem-based learning approach to systems thinking and modeling for critical public health concerns. Students integrate key population level theories (e.g., ecological, PRECEDE, organization, communication) with systems theory in a multilevel investigative process of public health assessment, organization, and evaluation. Case studies and interdisciplinary teamwork provide the tools for student inquiry and the resulting narrative and written reports.
