PMPR 4243 - Pharmacy Practice IV - Evidence-Based Practice II(3 credits) This course expands on the literature evaluation and evidence-based medicine concepts presented in the Evidence-Based Practice I course and serves as an introduction to the principles of drug information. Students will learn: processes for answering drug information questions; how to differentiate between and within the different types of literature; how to search for information using a variety of resources; how to develop evidence-based care recommendations; how to communicate responses to drug information questions; and how to effectively provide written drug information. The course series will provide students with the skills to effectively analyze and interpret medical literature and will introduce students to the basic concepts of evidence-based medicine. Must be enrolled in the 2nd professional year of the College of Pharmacy’s professional program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and successfully complete PMPR 4143 .
