(3 credits)Prerequisites:PMSC 4134. This is an advanced course on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the time course of drugs in the body. Pharmacokinetic aspects include absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination and they apply to patient dosing, initial and maintenance dosing and dosing adjustments. Pharmaco-dynamic aspects include quantitative relationships between drug concentrations and wanted or undesired effects and dosing adjustment based upon appropriate monitoring.
