(3 credits)This course introduces the student to the basic legal concepts and principles governing state behavior in the international order, the nature and sources of international law, international agreements, sovereignty of states, and recognition of statehood, jurisdiction, immunities, and responsibility. Current events in the international system are also examined with an international law perspective.
