(4 credits)
Prerequisites: SOWK 3300 , SOWK 3000 , and formal admission to the social work major.

This course provides the general method as a practice framework for beginning social work practice. Students further develop this foundation as it relates to engagement, data collection, assessment, intervention, evaluation, and termination phases in service delivery with a variety of systems. Primary emphasis is on micro and small group systems. Students learn how to work effectively without bias or discrimination. Students are required to participate in community-based learning experiences.
