GEOS 5000 - Geosciences Research Methods(3 credits) Prerequisites: Graduate standing in Geosciences or permission from instructor.
A course where the student learns how to: develop a hypothesis-driven project; acquire and utilize literature; analyze generated data; produce a thesis prospectus; create, defend, and provide a quality professional presentation; and prepare a manuscript for a peer-review journal. Notes: Repeatable for a total of 6 credit hours.
