PEDS 3055 - Pediatrics Clerkship

(12 credits)

Required of all third-year medical students.
The Department of Pediatrics utilizes the Niswonger Children’s Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center for all inpatient experiences during the six-week* clerkship rotation. Students are assigned arbitrarily to ward and nursery rotations at Niswonger, and ambulatory clinics at ETSU Physicians and Associates Pediatrics clinic, First Choice Pediatrics, or Kingsport Pediatrics. All students have a ward, nursery, NICU and multiple ambulatory experiences (general pediatrics and specialty pediatrics) during their rotation.

*The Pediatrics Clerkship will be a five-week rotation in the 2018-2019 academic year only.
