ASTR 4110 - Extragalactic Astronomy

(4 credits)
Prerequisites: ASTR 1020  and either PHYS 2010  or PHYS 2110 .

Study of the structure, properties, and evolution of normal galaxies, radio galaxies, active galactic nuclei, quasars, and the Universe as a whole. Three hours lecture and one hour recitation each week.
