CSCI 3020 - Database Advanced Topics

(3 credits)
Prerequisites: C- or better in CSCI 2910  or C- or better in CSCI 2210 , and C- or better in CSCI 2020 .

A study of the use and underlying principles of database management systems, and approaches for database design with an emphasis on the relational approach. Students will learn how to use good design techniques and implement methods for both small and large databases. Laboratory use of database software for designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining database systems will be an integral part of this course.
