SOWK 4457 - Social Work Practice in Health Care Setting
(3 credits)Familiarizes the student with the practice of social work in health care settings and enables students to develop necessary knowledge and skills to offer effective psychosocial interventions in a health care setting as part of a multidisciplinary team. Emphasis on a holistic approach to health care examines the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual components of the client within the health care system, as well as experiences with family, social, political, and legal systems.
