PMSC 3224 - Medicinal Chemistry(2 credits) This course will provide students with an understanding of the basic principles and concepts of medicinal chemistry, including an overview of the relationship of drug structure to pharmacological activity and an understanding of the processes involved in the design and development of modern pharmaceuticals. In addition, this course will help the student identify the physiochemical properties related to drug structures that affect drug solubility, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacological action, and stability.
