COUN 5110 - Social and Cultural Foundations in Counseling(3 credits) This course is designed for counselors to develop competencies and awareness for working with people of diverse groups in society. Students will have opportunities to develop awareness of their own cultural values and biases, to study the prevalent beliefs and attitudes of different cultures, and to understand the impact of oppression on individuals.
