ACCT 2010 - Principles of Accounting I

(3 credits)

Prerequisites: Required freshman math courses as defined by the student’s major.

Introduces fundamental concepts and procedures of financial accounting for corporations. Emphasis is placed on the preparation and use of accrual-basis financial statements for decision-making. Additional topics include the regulatory environment, the role of ethics, and the application of technology in the accounting environment.
