READ 4026 - Assessment and Enhancement of Literacy

Prerequisites: READ 3050.

Explores the study of theoretical foundations for the assessment of reading proficiency and models for building reading competencies. Targets for study include evidence-based components of reading processes. Particular emphasis on assessments and interpretation of assessment data for phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
