NRSE 3510 - Population, Community, and Public Health Nursing(3 credits) Prerequisites: Completion of first semester junior courses or admission to RN to BSN program or successful completion of all first semester LPN-BSN courses.
Addresses major concepts involved with population-focused, community-based nursing care in local, regional, state, national, and global communities. Principles of public health science are incorporated into health promotion and prevention services to support wellness. Evidence-based care is emphasized with special consideration for vulnerable populations, as well as lifestyle, environmental and cultural factors.
