CSKL 4350 - Doctoring IV(6 credits) Required of all fourth-year medical students. Course designed to bridge the gap between undergraduate and graduate medical education and ease the transition of the graduating medical student into residency training. The course is run on a continuing medical education (CME) model and includes lectures and workshops on topics not previously addressed in the four years of medical education (ex: medical jurisprudence), reinforces training already received (ex: hands-on workshops on orthopedic casting techniques), and introduces issues that will face the new resident physician (ex: breaking bad news to patients).
