COUN 5207 - Girls’ and Women’s Wellness for Helping Professionals(3 credits) Explores biological, psychological, and social issues that disproportionately impact girls’ and women’s wellness; effective prevention/ interventions that are tailored to the unique needs of girls and women; and advocacy processes needed to address the institutional and social barriers that may impact girls’ and women’s access, equity, and success. This course is available to human services professionals, health care workers, counselors, social workers, teachers, gender studies majors, and other undergraduate and graduate programs.
