(3 credits)Provides instruction and experiences in program content, teaching methods, and learning styles for developmentally appropriate physical education programs for children ages 5 to 10. Emphasis is placed on movement education, rhythm, body management, fundamental motor skills, and fitness/wellness appropriate to the kindergarten through fifth-grade child. The course provides experience working with students within a public elementary school setting during class time.
