NRSE 5025 - Advanced Women’s Health and Perinatal Nursing(3 credits) Prerequisites: NRSE 5009 .
Corequisites: NRSE 5115 .
Emphasizes the collaborative advanced nursing care of reproductive and non-reproductive needs of women throughout the lifespan utilizing current theory, research, and evidence-based practice findings. The class focuses on developing advanced knowledge of women’s health issues from adolescence, reproductive years and aging with strategies for illness prevention, health promotion, and clinical management of acute and chronic conditions incorporated. Discussions of environmental, political and social determinants of health influences on women will be examined.
