GEOS 5017 - Advanced Cartography: Web & Mobile Mapping
(3 credits)Provides an advanced course in the study of the science and art of digital mapping. Emphasis is placed upon three components of modern cartography: 1) the transition of spatial data to a web-based platform, 2) cloud-based (online) mapping techniques, and 3) mobile-friendly mapping application designs and structures. Topics are presented during lecture and applied by students in laboratory settings. This course includes experience in developing and implementing web-based map/applications.
