OCTH 6205 - Foundations of OT I: History, Philosophy, Professionalism, and Ethics(2 credits) Examines the historical foundation and philosophical base of occupational therapy. The profession’s core values, code of ethics, and standards of practice are introduced. The biopyschosocial model, International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) and the Ecology of Human Performance (EHP) are examined as the basis for the course and program. The course also explores the importance of learning and interprofessional practice in developing professional behavior and communication skills.
