CSCI 5480 - Cybersecurity Analytics

Prerequisites: CSCI 5460.

Provides an introduction to effective ways of leveraging cybersecurity data and gaining actionable insights into the enterprise and third-party ecosystem. This course provides exposure to Cyber Threat Information (CTI) sharing and applies data analytics techniques for security sense-making and decision-making based on big data. Topics may include cyber threat information creation and consumption, cybersecurity data cleaning, preprocessing, visualization, introduction to R, clustering analysis, data-driven event correlation, pattern mining for cyber threat detection, and utilizing public cybersecurity threat information resources for proactive cyber defense.
