RHSC 5802 - Management of Neurological and Skin Conditions in Orthotics and Prosthetics(2 credits) Examines orthotic and prosthetic treatment and management of common neurological disorders of the central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system and common skin disorders. The course focuses on signs, symptoms, sensory, motor and autonomic impairment, prognosis, medical, surgical and orthotic/prosthetic management of common disorders such as: stroke, spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, demyelinating diseases, neuropathies, injuries to peripheral nerves, neuromuscular diseases, inherited disorders and infections of the nervous system.
