MEDU 3011 - Junior Clinical Experience

(4 credits/2 weeks or 6 credits/3 weeks)

Required of all third-year medical students.
The Junior Clinical Experience is a two or three week experience. The student will be assigned to work with a practicing physician and will be involved in evaluating new patients, following established patients, and writing consultation notes. The student should observe and/or assist with procedures commonly performed and become familiar with the most commonly encountered diagnoses. Through reading and actual interpretation of results, the student should comprehend the interpretation of diagnostic studies appropriate to the specialty.
