PEDS 3005 - Junior Pediatrics Clerkship

(10 credits/5 weeks or 12 credits/6 weeks)

Required of all third-year medical students.
The six-week Pediatrics Clerkship utilizes the Niswonger Children’s Hospital at Johnson City/Ballad Health Medical Center for all inpatient experiences. Students are assigned arbitrarily to ward and nursery rotations at Niswonger, and ambulatory clinics at ETSU Physicians and Associates Pediatric clinic. All students have ward, nursery, NICU and multiple ambulatory experiences (general pediatrics and specialty pediatrics) during their rotation. All rotation assignments will be made at the discretion of the coordinator and faculty. All schedules will be final and changes will not be accommodated, except in case of an emergency.
