CDIS 5027 - Introduction to Audiology

(4 credits)

An integrated study of the fundamentals of hearing including basic sound transmission, overview of peripheral auditory anatomy and physiology, auditory perception of simple and complex sounds, the central auditory nervous system, basic auditory disorders, primary audiological clinical tests, and basic management of hearing impaired. Application of these concepts to the clinical practice of audiology will be included.
