COUN 5830 - Individual Mental Testing(4 credits) This course will instruct students in the administration and interpretation of the WAIS-III, WISC-III, and McCarthy Scales, and familiarize students with other individual mental tests, including the Kaufman ABC and the Stanford-Binet IV. Attention is also given to procedures for writing psychological evaluations and reporting test results to examinees. Issues related to assessment, such as the nature of intelligence and the heritability of intelligence, are examined. Students are required to administer and interpret various individual mental tests.
