(4 credits)Examines more advanced concepts of orthotic biomechanical motion control systems and methods of treatment of the lower limb (ankle foot complex, knee, hip), head/spine/pelvis, and upper limb (fingers/hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder joint complex). The course includes common and emerging orthosis designs and systems of greater complexity as well as explores design principles, fitting techniques and includes customized molding and fabrication methods. This is the second of two courses in a series.
