RHSC 5501 - Prosthetic Theory and Application I

(4 credits)
Introduces concepts of prosthetic biomechanical motion control systems and methods of treatment of persons with lower limb loss (including all major amputation levels), and upper limb loss (including all major amputation levels). The course includes common prosthesis designs and systems as well as explores design principles, fitting techniques and includes customized molding and fabrication methods. This is the first of two courses in a series.
