NTFD 4465 - Food is Medicine

Prerequisites: NTFD 2420

Provides a foundation in Food is Medicine (FIM) interventions, which are food-based nutritional treatments integrated into health care to treat and advance health equity among patients with specific disease conditions and social needs. Food-based nutritional therapies will be based on the experimental study of ingredient functions, factors affecting product quality, and the development of food products suitable for diverse clientele.
