PMCY 1112 - Pharmacy Calculations

The course will introduce you to the fundamentals, prescription terminology, systems of measurement and various pharmacy calculations. You will apply appropriate mathematical concepts found within the practice of pharmacy, including prescription compounding and patient specific determinations. Examples and problems will be included that are more often encountered in rural practice. Emphasis will be placed on improving and applying problem-solving skills for the needs of an individual patient within the practice of pharmacy.
