ENTC 4360 - Biomedical Engineering Technology Internship I(2 credits) Prerequisites: ENTC 3320 .
Provides career-related work experience at an assigned regional hospital to complete 96 hours of practical internship. The internship allows work under the supervision of a senior Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) or clinical engineer. Assignments may include PM, calibration, troubleshooting and repair, and management of equipment. A pre-employment physical examination and possession of liability insurance before being assigned to internship is required.
Notes: Students wishing to complete their internships through VA Mountain Home Healthcare should start the onboarding process no later than 10 weeks prior to the start of the semester per VA policy.
