BLUE 2940 - Exploring Old-Time and Early Bluegrass Recordings

Students will engage with a range of media from historic 78s and vinyl to digital archives and streaming platforms while using tools to organize, compare, and annotate collections. This course bridges historical sound study with modern technology, including AI, to deepen understanding of early roots recordings and their continuing influence.
