ECED 3125 - Lesson Planning and Standards for Infants/Toddlers/Preschoolers(3 credits) Explores the principles of developmentally appropriate lesson planning for children from birth to age 8. This course provides engaging lessons that align with national and state early learning standards, including the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards (TNELDS) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines. The course emphasizes lesson planning across multiple content areas, with a focus on social studies, the arts, and literacy. The course also examines best practices for supporting young children’s learning through play-based, inquiry-driven, and culturally responsive approaches.
