SPED 5010 - Introduction to Young Special Needs Children and Their Families

(3 credits)

This course will cover the various characteristics of young special needs children and their families, across and within classifications. Particular emphasis will focus on how these traits impact on the child’s developmental rate, abilities, and sequence. Some intervention strategies will be covered. A nine credit field experience in an early childhood program will be required.
