(2 credits) Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): BIOL 4167/BIOL 5167 or BIOL 4147/BIOL 5147; or equivalent. The theory and use of lab instruments and techniques will be introduced through a series of experiments designed to investigate photosynthesis, electron transport, polymerase chain reactions, and enzyme kinetics. Experiment planning and interpretation of data generated by the students will culminate in journal-style reports. One four-hour lab per week.
