(3 credits)Prerequisites:ENGL 1010, ENGL 1018 or equivalent; and permission of the English Honors Director. Writing essays based on critical analyses of various literary texts. Emphasis on sound argumentative techniques and a documented research paper. Students are expected to exhibit stylistic fluency and organizational sophistication. Students must earn a grade of “C” to pass this course. These courses do no assign grades C-, D+, or D.
