The Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying, a unit of the College of Business and Technology [CBAT], is one of the largest and most academically diverse units of East Tennessee State University. The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in Engineering Technology with numerous concentrations and minors. There is also a degree in Surveying and Mapping, Interior Architecture, and a joint BSE degree with Tennessee Tech. In addition, graduate degree programs in two concentrations are also offered. Several programs are accredited through ABET and CIDA. Additionally, there are many majors and/or programs that are available through the Academic Common Market allowing out-of-state students to enroll at ETSU at in-state tuition rates.
The department’s administrative and faculty offices are housed primarily in Wilson Wallis on the ETSU main campus.

Accreditation
The Construction, Electronics, and Manufacturing programs are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET, www.abet.org.
The Surveying program is accredited by the Applied Science Accreditation Commission (ASAC) of ABET, www.abet.org. The Interior Architecture program is accredited by The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), http://accredit-id.org.
Graduate Study
The Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying offers a master of science degree.
Minor
A minor in Technology is available to students who wish to acquire technical knowledge and skills. Students are required to meet with the corresponding academic advisor with the Department of Engineeering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying to declare their minor and to receive guidance in selecting their courses.
