The Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying, a unit of the College of Business and Technology [CBAT], is one of the largest and most academically diverse units of East Tennessee State University. The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in Engineering Technology with numerous concentrations and minors. There is also a degree in Surveying and Mapping, Interior Architecture, and a joint BSE degree with Tennessee Tech. In addition, graduate degree programs in two concentrations are also offered. Several programs are accredited through ABET and CIDA. Additionally, there are many majors and/or programs that are available through the Academic Common Market allowing out-of-state students to enroll at ETSU at in-state tuition rates.

Minor

A minor in Technology is available to students who wish to acquire technical knowledge and skills. Students are required to meet with the corresponding academic advisor with the Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying to declare their minor and to receive guidance in selecting their courses.
