The Department of Theatre and Dance seeks to enhance the cultural environment by creating performances that educate and entertain our students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. The Department produces multiple main-stage productions plus student-directed showcase productions on a yearly basis.  Course offerings include performance courses in acting and dance, as well as production-oriented courses focusing on directing, stagecraft, and design. Through a combination of course work and hands-on experiences, the Department of Theatre and Dance prepares students to work successfully in all aspects of professional theatre, film, television, or other areas of the entertainment industry. A minor in Theatre complements many majors, as the skills garnered enhance collaborative abilities, confidence, and teach creative problem solving techniques.
