The minor in Family Studies consists of 18 credits. A grade of “C” or above must be earned in all of the 15 credits of required course work for this minor.

Family Studies Minor: 18 credits

A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.

Required courses: 15 credits

• HDAL 2000 - Intimate Relationships (3 credits)
• HDAL 3110 - Child/Family/Community Relations (3 credits)
• HDAL 4127 - Divorce: Causes and Consequences (3 credits)
• HDAL 4137 - Youth Violence - Intervention to Prevention (3 credits)
• HDAL 4417 - Family Theories (3 credits)

Advisor Approved Elective: 3 credits
