The Public Health minor seeks to provide students with a variety of public health courses in the fields of community health and health administration, as well as environmental health, biostatistics, and epidemiology, to prepare students to work more effectively in health care settings. The Public Health minor complements students in the fields of health sciences, allied health, psychology, sociology, nursing, social work, and other related fields. The minor is framed around 9 credits of core courses and 9 credits of guided electives. Students will complete elective courses based on interest through the Public Health undergraduate advisor. The Public Health minor can be completed completely online or a hybrid of online and on ground courses.
Public Health Minor Requirements: 18 credits
A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.
- COBH 1010 - Lifetime Behaviors for Healthy Living (3 credits)
- HSMP 3200 - Health Services Administration (3 credits)
- COBH 4030 - Community Health (3 credits)
- Advisor approved electives with at least 3 credits at the 3000/4000 level (9 credits)
