The Entrepreneurship Minor is comprised of coursework (minor core field and electives) from six departments and two colleges. A broad-based educational platform provides the students in this minor with a diverse perspective on what is needed to conceptualize, initiate and manage a new or existing business venture.

Entrepreneurship Minor: 18 credits

A minor is a secondary area of study outside of the major program of study with a structured curriculum composed of at least 18 credits of which at least 9 credits must be at the 3000-level or above.

Major Field Core: 12 credits

• ADVR 3100 - Survey of Promotion (3 credits)
• CSCI 1210 - Essentials of Web Development (3 credits)
• MGMT 1955 - Entrepreneurial Mindset (3 credits)
• MGMT 4617 - Small Business Management (3 credits)

Advisor Approved Electives: 6 credits

Advisor approved electives must be chosen in consultation with the Entrepreneurship Minor curriculum coordinator. Electives include existing courses such as:

• ENGL 4957 - Topics in English (1-6 credits) (Topics in Grant Writing)
• ENTC 4357 - CIM Applications (3 credits)
• FNCE 3210 - Personal Finance (3 credits)
• MGMT 3340 - Law and Intellectual Property for Musicians (3 credits)
• MGMT 4357 - CIM Applications (3 credits)
• MGMT 4800 - Corporate Etiquette (3 credits)
• MGMT 4905 - Management Internship (3 credits) [or internship in other majors (e.g., Music, Art, Chemistry, etc.)]
