The mission of the Department of Economics and Finance is to provide students with the educational experience necessary to succeed in a competitive global environment. We offer both business and non-business degree programs.

The department offers a non-business Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Students who aspire to an international career will particularly benefit from our concentration in International Commerce. This program combines traditional economics coursework with courses in business, geo-politics, and foreign language to prepare students for a host of career possibilities in government and multinational corporations. As a complement, the department has also established close ties with cooperating universities in Europe and encourages students to participate in the university’s foreign study exchange programs.
